Boxcitement March Box Review

So recently in the post I received March's Out Of This Worlds themed box from Boxcitement. Each month they come up with a fun and exciting theme and includes items such as home ware, jewellery and stationary.

In my box I got a number of different fun and quirky items that fitted the theme perfectly and some have even been designed exclusively designed for them so you wont get them no where else.

There was a pair of earrings that were designed to look like a little planet, although to me they did also resemble Blueberries, the quality was fantastic and makes for an interesting piece for your jewellery collection. My favourite item in the box was this funky little drawstring bag that says 'Space for Stuff' and has some cute pictures on it again fitting well into the theme of the box, I think I will use it for possibly storing make up brushes or even underwear for when I travel. The Handmade hair clips were so pretty and made to a high standard of quality, not something I would normally wear but I may have too now.

Handy things were also included in the box there was 3 postcard prints with envelopes that I will send to my friends to brighten up their day, another item that I really loved was the shopping list pad I am forever hunting round for scraps of paper to write my shipping lists out for my partner. There was a cute little alien themed keyring as well, you can never have enough keyrings. And again in keeping with the theme I also got flying saucer sweeties.

Lastly one of the items was designed just for Boxcitment which was a wooden Moon Phased garland that you put together yourself with the twine provided, you could arrange these to go either across or long ways, you could even arrange it to be like bunting on a wall.

Past themes have included party planning, wild west, under the sea, animal magic and many more

The price of the subscription is £18 per month but if you signed up to 3, 6, 9 or 12 months plan then a discount on the monthly cost would be applied.

It really is a box of surprises every month and something that the while family could get involved in.

If you would like to see a video of me and my son unboxing the box then view this link here

Moi-Meme Review By Alisha

I have have here the January Winter Wellness box by Moi-Même.  This is a lifestyle subscription and as you can guess by the above, the box is based around a theme for each edition that inspires the contents of the box. In each you will receive at least 5 products, these can be a mixture of things such as- homely items, accessories or beauty products. They're fairly new to the world of subscription boxes this being their third of the quarterly boxes they have done, and all are very consistently impressive.

Now on to the products:

Personalised cut out notepad by Portico designs- £8.50. This lovely pad came in various other letters and colour variations. Portico Designs is a publishing company based in Bath. They produce some amazingly beautiful designed items ranging from stationary to accessories and item for the home, having various collections from Vintage florals by Laura Ashley to classic Roald Dahl illustrations.

Potion London The Beauty formula supplements- £25 for a 60 day supply. Potion London are a top health enthusiast brand creating a range of multivitamins all made individually to aid different issues. The beauty formula supplements contain 19 vitamins and minerals all chosen to target specific beauty needs to give you naturally beautiful hair, skin and nails.

Lola's apothecary bath and shower oil- £34. This came in one of two options Restorative Winter Clarifying oil or the one I received- Delicate romance oil. This oil is from a brand that is quite well known for their luxurious natural products that have aromatherapy at the heart. The oil itself is great, it smells amazing, looks beautiful in the bottle with the rose petals and it makes your skin so soft. It's the perfect pamper product for a relaxing evening, however perhaps too relaxing you don't want to leave!

Coco chocolatier organic chocolate bar- £4.50 for 80g bar. These come in a few different flavours and they all have a unique colourful design for each of the varieties. I received the Date and Ginger flavour of the dark chocolate, the flavours are all made to compliment each other and go really well with the lovely smooth chocolate. Coco Chocolatier are a Scottish company, one of the first chocolate makers in Scotland. They make all their chocolate by hand, it is hand wrapped in the gorgeous packaging and they source their ingredients from the highest quality from the Dominican Republic, supporting fair and ethically right trade. They have a wide range of flavours, they also make vegan and gluten free chocolate so there is something for everyone.

My favourite and last item from the box is this gorgeous Monroe faux fur snood by Pia Rossini- £30. These also came in a variety of different colours, mine is the Ocelot which is a gorgeous animal print. The snood is very luxurious, it's super soft both on the outside and inside with the fleece lining it has. The thickness of it is just perfect, it's not bulky yet it's still cosy and warm. Pia Rossini are creators of beautiful, feminine accessories that have the idea of effortless Italian style at mind.

That's all that I received and I am loving the box! All the previous boxes have been just as good, definitely they've been better each time which is what we want. Everything received is of great quality, they're great brands and there is a perfect mix of variety in the products included. The theme of Winter wellness is truly covered here with all the things we need in the season:
-We have our notepad to keep us organised with everything we need to do, good for any of those New Years resolutions anyone is attempting!
-Our vitamins to keep us looking beautiful at the time we need that bit of a boost the most.
-The amazing bath/shower oil to give us that time to relax and rejuvenate with this must have pamper product!
-A sweet treat that we all love.
-The gorgeous snood to keep us warm and cosy in style!

Moi-Même is a luxury lifestyle box that is a must buy, with the next Spring edition coming out just around the corner I'm very excited to see what they have in store next. You can guarantee your box by signing up by March 31st, any current subscribers at that point will have their boxes being dispatched the second week of April (w/c 10th April). You may like to see the box contents beforehand but keep an eye out, they can go quick but they're definitely worth going for the plunge they're sure to please and you don't want to miss out. MicroBarBox March Review By Natalie

This box is slightly different to what I'm used to having but was so so so much fun.

MicroBarBox offer monthly cocktail club subscription boxes, each month each subscriber will get a mix of generous sized bottles of different alcoholic brands and their products also some mixers too.

For the month of March the products included two flavoured drinks from The Sweet Potato Spirit Co in Pink Marshmellow and Orangecello. The box also contained 2 bottles of flavoured vodka from Absolut in Vanilla and Raspberri. Also was a bottle of Gin from Great British Tiger Gin. For the Mixers I got Cawson Press Apple and Rhubarb Juice and a can of Qcumber sparkling water.

This changes every month so you get to try different alcoholic drinks from loads of different brands.

So that you can create cocktails from these ingredients in the box is a card detailing 5 drinks that you can create from the contents of your monthly box, they were called

Vanilla Moon
Spring Breeze
Oran-Gin-Cello
Absolut Perfection
Gin & Qcumber

My favourite cocktail from the five was the Gin and Qcumber, whcih really shocked me as im not a fan of cucumber at all.

I had so much fun creating all of these and enjoying each cocktail all of them were new to me which I loved as I love enjoying new things.

The monthly cost of this box is £29, or they also offer one off boxes if you didn't want to subscribe. What I think there are great for is if your having pre drinks with the girls or even a night in, its lots of fun creating the different cocktails especially if you have a cocktail shaker like me lol It would also make a great date night box for you and your partner.

If you purchased a one off box it would make a fab present for someone that has everything, or someone that is passionate about mixology.

Everything is packed with care and very tightly so nothing will get damaged in transit.

If you fancy a go at this box with a twist then check out their Facebook and website which I have put the links below, I have also included a photo of my March Cocktail Club box

Berlau Gyda Cariad Review

I am very excited about this review for Berlau Gyda Cariad and since receiving their beautiful products I have fell in love with the company and everything they do.

The English meaning of the company name is Pearls with Love.

So have you ever been scrolling through Facebook and spot that your friend is watching a live video of a pearl party and wondered what is all this about, well I did and I now have the answers and so pleased I do and I have really become an addict of this fantastic new and exciting industry.

Berlau Gyda Cariad is a family run business based in Wales, Sarah and her Mum best known as Mummy Pearl, are the faces of this unique jewellery business. Their speciality is creating sterling silver pieces using freshwater rice pearls and salt water akoya pearls.

How does jewellery and Facebook live videos come together then???? So you will pick your jewellery setting you want, it could be a new pair of earrings or a necklace, it could even be a keyring or bag charm. Once you have done that you are told when the next Facebook video will take place, and your pearl will be shown to by watching the oyster being opened right before your eye. There is no way of knowing which colour you will get as there is so many.

A few weeks back I experienced a live pearl party with Sarah and her mum along side other Facebook users, I was watching all these oysters being opened and the different colours coming out I was hooked, so my turn come, Sarah was opening one of each type of oyster for me. First up was a rice oyster, the pearls from this can come in all different shapes, sizes and colours, I got a beautiful peachy colour pearl that I have had mounted onto The Simplicity piece which was the first ever mounted piece they started selling.

Next up was my akoya oyster opening and to my surprise and excitement out popped 2 pearls, 2 stunning pink pearls, when this happens its referred to as twines and everyone on the online chat gets very excited. I have had these mounted on to a pair of stunning earrings that I now wear at every chance I get.

The next night Sarah was running another live video for her pearl party, I had another rice oyster opening and this time out popped a stunning light lilac pearl, for this one I have had the pearl popped into a cage Angel Ball keyring, Its very generous in size and you could probably get around 4 pearls inside to keep adding to your collection.

If you wanted to experience opening the oysters yourself you can also pick a cage setting piece of jewellery and have them sent out to you to open at home, I had again one of each type of oyster to see the difference. For the jewellery I have got the Lotus necklace which was the piece that started the company off plus the matching ring. They both have little clasps so you can open them with ease and pop your new pearls in.

For some fun I decided to open the oysters live myself on my Facebook group, Beauty Box Swap Shop UK, to show all my members how fun and exciting it is. I opened my akoya oyster and got a shiiny black pearl that is perfect for my necklace, then next I opened my rice oysters and.....TWINNIES!!!!!! I got 2 beautiful dark petrol coloured pearls one for my ring and the extra can go in my keyring. My members enjoyed it so much we are now having our own exclusive pearl party with Sarah and her mum later on this month.

From start to finish I was so impressed with the service that Sarah and her mum provide, you are involved in every single step of picking your new piece of jewellery, your surprise pearl, delivery takes around 7 to 10 days never more, this is due to some of the jewellery needing to be drilled and mounted. Sarah is always happy to answer any questions you have. They definitely have 5* customer service, and I wouldn't dream of buying from another pearl jewellery business now.

Why not check out the Facebook page, join in with a pearl party, look at all the stunning pieces Berlau has to offer from their website, you wont be disappointed and I guarantee from the first time you watch you will be hooked.

http://www.berlau.co.uk/
https://www.facebook.com/berlau16/

Below is photos of the oysters, how the jewellery comes presented in gift boxes, my pearls, and the jewellery itself. You can even keep your oyster shells and have them sent to you as well.

If you wanted to place an order we have an exclusive discount code for 10% off beautyblog10, or if you wanted to join in in our exclusive party where we will also be playing BEASTIE bingo, where a giant oysters full of pearls will be won, then please get in contact with myself or join the group and come and have a look for yourself.

I have truly enjoyed my whole experience with Berlau and I will continue too.

Hygge Box January Review By Alisha

I have received the January Hygge box. This box is a lifestyle with a theme all about being cosy and celebrating the seasons all year round. It's name comes from a Danish term of 'Hygge'- which is about cosiness, comfort and meaningful moments with friends or family or even just enjoying being at home. The box brings you activities and items to celebrate these things in every box and month. The creators are two ladies who are very opposite, describing themselves as Ying and Yang. Their personal preferences of the seasons alone makes them perfect partners for this unique box. This is the deluxe version of Hygge box which is £35, the standard one is £20. The standard isn't much different, for the standard box for Jan there was: Gnaw chocolate, Hoogly Tea, Cushion cover, Candle sticks, Notebook and fairly lights.

This box goes out at the end of the month, around the 22nd and thus is the January edition I received early February. In the box I received:
Hoogly Vanilla chai tea bags
Battery powered fairy lights
A Nordic cushion cover with a lovely natural woodland type design
Fox make your own fabric- this is to be used to create an item using the print such as a cushion, door weight, tea towel etc
Plain paper notebook and rainbow colour pencil.
Gnaw caramel wave chocolate bar, all natural flavours and tastes amazing!
Winter berry candle
Bamboo socks

This box is a great buy for someone that doesn't want a usual beauty box or to try something a bit different. It's great value and the contents suit the concept of the box. Their motto is Danish Cosiness delivered and this describes the box perfectly. It's well thought out and fits with the theme. The variety of items you receive is good, it's a mix of a little bit of everything. You've got homely items which covers the 'Cosiness', there's an activity that relates to the theme/box which represents the 'meaningfulness'  and celebration of the season each month and some of the everyday things to enjoy at home doing your daily tasks. This is a really special box with a difference and will be enjoyed for sure. If you want to have a look at Hygge Box yourself you can take a look here at their website, or you can find them on Facebook or Instagram also. Hope you've enjoyed looking, look out for the next review on Moi-Meme box!

The last photo on this review is to show you the contents of a regular box.

Just Us Box January Review By Alisha

The box I have received this time is the Just Us box for January. The concept behind this box is as you can tell from the name is a couples subscription box. They are usually sent mid way through the month and the deadline to purchase a monthly box is the 15th of that month. They are £30 per month plus there is also the option of a smaller trial box for £18 which is perfect if you have a smaller budget or for you to see what you think of it and what the company have to offer. You can also buy bigger subscription plans which have a bit of a discount and also there is an option to buy as a gift.

There is a theme for each monthly box which relates to the items and the activity inside. The theme for the January box was Making memories and it was a collaboration with Red Letter days. In the boxes you'll find there is some kind of activity, with some questions or topic for you and your partner to discuss while doing it.
The items in the box are:
Stack 'Em block game with question labels (pink for her to answer, blue for him to answer and orange for both) some of the questions included What was your first impression of me when we met?
What was your favourite past time/hobby as a child?
What do you remember most about the first time we met?
Sass and Belle vintage style photo album box.
Small trinket box for you to collect keepsakes, little things as memories tickets, photos etc.
Glass jar with lollipop sticks and a marker pen. You write on the sticks some dreams for long term and short term, and the idea is that you choose one of the short term each week etc to complete.
A Bluetooth wireless selfie stick (Comes with a remote to take the photos with).
A small hanging glass photo frame.
Two strings of wishes.

There is so much in this box and it is jam packed, there's lots for a great and fun night in that's not boring! The quality of the things is great too it's not cheap, it's really worth the money and for those that can't get out much- it's a fun night out but inside where you can rest in your PJs! The ideas and theme behind it all are lovely and fun. This is a great one to try as a regular for your date night or for a treat here and there or an occasion. It's something that isn't going to get boring because it's different each time and there is always several different things you can do.

There have been some other Couples boxes that have been quite disastrous and lacking, this however is up there with great quality and the effort really is put into this to give you everything you could want for your date night and it's really thought about for each box. All should give this box a go, whether you can't get out or you'd like to try a stay in date. For anyone wanting to buy March's box or to take a look their website I have included the link below along with their Facebook details, they also have Instagram so you can check them out there for some great pictures, sneak peeks and more!
